Meeting Time: 12.50pm - Mersey Ferries Terminal, Pier Head

A fascinating one hour walking tour exploring Liverpool’s maritime history, looking at its development as a port from the 18th to the 21st century. The tour will take you around Liverpool’s historic waterfront and introduce you to ‘Liverpool Maritime & Mercantile City’, inscribed by UNESCO in 2004 as a world heritage site. See the docks and warehouses that make up part of Liverpool’s world heritage site, also home to some of Liverpool’s national museums and art galleries which help to make this area of the city a vibrant cultural destination. You will also have the chance to experience Liverpool's Pier Head which combines both modern and classical styles of architecture. This is an ideal tour for delegates who want an introduction and orientation to the city. The tour will be lead by an English speaking guide. The Tour will end 14.00pm approx.

A fascinating 90 minute walking tour exploring Liverpool’s maritime history, looking at its development as a port from the 18th to a thriving cultural city in the 21st century. The tour will take you around Liverpool’s historic waterfront and introduce you to ‘Liverpool Maritime & Mercantile City’, inscribed by UNESCO in 2004 as a world heritage site. Along with the Cavern Quarter and some of Liverpool's oldest and most impressive buildings, you will see Liverpool’s national museums and art galleries which help to make the city a vibrant cultural destination. The tour will be lead by an English speaking guide. The Tour will end 12.00 noon approx.
